Dude!! I’ve had the same resolution, to not write any fanfic and work only my Original stories. Except the struggle is soooooo real. It’s like I had a voice and creativity but it all went to shit when I started working on my own stuff.
Omg dude I feel you! It’s been such a tricky balance. Like I thought having written a lot of fic would have given me a pretty solid foundation for writing original stuff (and to be sure, it’s defs better than NO foundation haha), but the mediums are surprisingly very different! I feel like it’s probably more a matter of practice than anything else, which is why I’ve been aiming for consistency over quality so far haha. I’ll defs keep you posted on how this latest idea goes haha here’s hoping it has more going for it than the last one!
