Between the mighty Deryth and Ygraine rivers Loki stumbled upon a girl. He did not have Thor’s sense of honor about fair maidens and the need to rescue them and had made up his mind to walk past her. The hour was late and he was exhausted from his training. The fate of the unconscious woman will be left to the magic of this place but just steps past her Loki came to a halt and his head turned. He studies the blonde woman and turns and walks back to where she laid.
He had almost over looked it, his sharp and witty mind had almost completely overlooked the obvious due to his eagerness for the warmth of his quarters and a full stomach. He knelt, more curious than cautious and turned her over. He reached down lifting her jacket and tracing his thumb over the material.
Her garments were peculiar; he had never seen anything like it in Asgard. The villages outside the Royal Kingdom were capable of such skills. His hand hovered over his mouth, warm breath greeted him. She was still part of this world. He sighed heavily, slightly annoyed.
He reached beneath her and lifted her against his breast and stood. She was likely not worth the effort but he was curious about her weapon. It was small and made of metal. It did not belong to this realm and likely neither did she. Perhaps there were more than one way between the realms than the rainbow bridge and if that was the case than such knowledge could make someone very powerful indeed. He would take her to the cabin, built by Asgardians long ago giving refugee for kinsman that are forced to take this dangerous route. When she wakes he would have many questions for her.

Eli slowly came back to herself, the sounds of a fire crackling somewhere in the room both confusing and yet comforting. She blinked slowly, letting her eyes adjust to the dim light of the cabin, her nose filled with the smell of burning wood. By the fire she made out the silhouette of a man, the firelight playing over dark hair, pale skin, angular features. She sat up silently and took stock of her body, noting only minor aches and bruising and a mild throbbing behind her eyes. She felt for her pistol and froze: her gun was nowhere to be found. While it didn't leave her powerless--in fact, it was the least dangerous thing about her--she preferred using it to her special 'talent'.
Eli stood, glad that the rest of her belongings seemed to be where they had been before the portal had sucked her through, and strolled slowly over to the man by the fire. A hundred questions filled her mind, but she couldn't think of a tactful way to begin.
"Who are you?" She asked finally, throwing tact out the window. "And where am I?"
