The last couple of days I’ve looked at a lot of Loki posts - these days I sometimes avoid seeing him because of feelz but I felt strong enough to take it.
And what amazed and relieved me is how many people see his heartbreak, his torture, the injustice done to him by so many. Not just Resistance members. A lot of people.
A lot of people were not fooled by Marvel’s “Look at how villainous he is! What do you mean, a character has to actually do something villainous to be a villain? That’s not how it works! We point at a character and say ‘villain’ and you boo when he saves everyone’s lives! Repeatedly! We point at a character and say ‘hero’ and you cheer when he murders hundreds until they kneel in abject terror or tortures his little brother! Gosh, making comic book movies is easy.”
It just makes me feel so much better to know that, despite the attacks we in the Resistance have received, there are plenty of people not involved in the whole thing who still look at Loki and recognize heartbreak and injustice when it’s put up on a screen in front of them.
The world would be an even worse place than it is if that weren’t the case.
