Loki and Jane's Future in Marvel Films
I loved Thor:Ragnarok. Just wish Natalie Portman hadn't opted out of it. A lot of people say that even if she had stayed that she wouldn't have had much of role to play in the coming of Ragnarok, but I'm sure they could've found a creative way to give her a pivotal role in all of this. Plot-twist! Jane was a Valkyrie all along. And maybe she could've been the one to give Loki that pep-talk. It would've been great. Jane could've upped her sass game and been all badass.
Natalie Portman had her reasons for not being in Ragnarok but it sucks we won't have anymore Loki and Jane footage/interactions to work with. Tom Hiddleston is still under contract for Marvel for at least two more movies- Infinity War Part 1 and 2 so we'll still get to see him as Loki some more even though I imagine he won't have that much screen time. Natalie said she was done with Marvel for now but said she would consider being a part of the "Avenger Part 7" in the future lol but by then Tom Hiddleston will be off playing other amazing roles.
It would be great if after Infinity War Part 2 they somehow convince Tom to come back to play Loki one last time in his own standalone film. It's been talked about for years and at the time, Tom found the idea intriguing. Now that Thor and Jane are capoot, they could find a way to rework Jane into the storyline and finally give Loki a love interest in his film. They should go down the fanfiction route and have Jane be the reincarnation of Sigyn, which would explain why Loki felt so protective of Jane in Dark World. There's so many possibilities.
Even though it's very far fetched for them to use Jane again as a love interest, it would still be an interesting story and also pretty ironic. lol Think about it. Loki couldn't have Thor's crown so he stole his girl. :P There's almost a nice symmetry to it. Thor is possibly gonna have a romance with Valkyrie in the future and he and Loki are finally on good terms. I don't think he'd be crazy about the idea of Loki being with his ex but I think ultimately, he'd be happy that Loki is finally happy.
Sucks though because we all know that his good relationship with Loki will be short-lived. In the leaked Infinity War trailer (or so I heard) that came out a while ago, Thor was seen floating around in space (can't help but think Loki has something to do with that) and Loki was seen staring at the Tesseract covetously/handing it over to Thanos so we know Loki is not going to stay a hero. I want to believe that there's still good in Loki just like Thor sensed. I hope that wasn't just a throw-away line but we'll see what happens.
