I care a lot about writing. I love writing. I'm always working to improve, and I can promise that I'm more critical of my work than anyone else on the planet.
I also love people. even if my books are (mostly) self-indulgent, I do my best to write in a way that's socially progressive, because that is where my passion lies. when you talk about complex issues, it requires a strong clarity of language to get across your intent, and occasionally, I've put my foot in mouth. that will probably happen again (though I really wish it wouldn't). just know that I am always trying to learn and grow, even if I say something fucking stupid.
lastly, I really do love being on here, and so I am going to take steps to curate my space and have barriers. that means no more giving my thoughts on reviews, and it means that if I'm looking in tags for fanart and see someone's hater rant, I'm gonna hit block and move on. tumblr doesn't have a mute function, or else I'd use that. to the blocked: if you're mad about no longer having access to my blog, sorry! but that's also a bit creepy. you don't need to see all my isopods and health updates.
