the black and teal pinstripes were such a look
Hey, what’s going on? [both:] Nothing.
As an Asian, I like Mike, but people seemed to have fetishized him into a perfect, supportive, and submissive boyfriend, which he was not. Just because someone had one love interest in the show, that doesn't make him a perfect boyfriend. He was upset with Tina when she didn't follow his standards, he never supported her in anything. He is a great team player though.
I think I am the only person who doesn't like Mike Chang. He was just as problematic as the rest of the boys. Remember when he called Tina a "self hatin' Asian?" or the times he threw her under the bus in favor of Rachel? All Tina ever did was be a good girlfriend while pandering to Mike and his issues. I can't name one thing Mike actually did that was in Tina's best interests and am so glad he ended up alone and forgotten.
Unpopular opinion: I hated Mike Chang

Mike Chang is a gary sue. He is good looking, popular, a jock, a good student, he can dance, he learned how to sing, he is nice, he doesn't have enemies and when he got a storyline it was victimizing him.
I hope Tina realizes how stupid proposing to Mike (and for that matter, getting back together with him) would be.
