it's sort of incredible to contrast the shipping discussions in the sp fandom with the actual analyses of the show. it's just... south park is a show that has a LOT going on. over three hundred episodes. some amazing characters, jokes, and satire. social commentary ranging from milquetoast and agreeable to outrageous and offensive. while it's certainly not for everyone, it does a lot of things well.
but one thing it doesn't really do well is build a lot of romantic and sexual tension between its cast of grimy ten-year-old boys. in fact, some killjoys might argue that the reason why it doesn't do a good job building a lot of romantic and sexual tension between its cast of grimy ten-year-old boys is because it's not TRYING to build a lot of romantic and sexual tension between its cast of grimy ten-year-old boys.
