So, for reasons I'd probably better not go into, I have to read the entire 150+ page document of the local Orange Order (Protestant, Loyalist, they like to celebrate William of Orange winning the Battle of the Boyne in 1690 by marching up and down various roads throughout the country in Orange collarettes from April - September each year. Severely homophobic.) this weekend. For your pleasure and my relief, I'm going to reblog some of the dafter things I read. (It's all public on the web if you so wish to read it in full though why you would I do not know.) Starting with the mention that, in the associated Royal Black Institution, members (who are only male) refer to each other as "Sir Knight" which makes me imagine:- "Awright Sir Knight? How you doin'?"

Hello, Hello! (Just a little update!)

I am surprised to see that I have actually started to gain some readers! Thank you for stopping by and enjoying my little blog. With all of the hype around the World Championship that is currently going on, (despite this being the most boring leg of the tournament) I feel obligated to discuss the game from more of a spectator perspective.

Over the next few weeks, I will be discussing more of the macro-level of play that comes into consideration by breaking down the map as best I can. Rather than focusing more on my own personal experiences, I will be detailing the purpose of each lane, how objectives work and what they mean to the game, and perhaps breaking down some commonly used terms. Another point of discussion will be the type of team compositions that affect how the game is played out. I promise to try to do so in as broad of a way as I can manage, while only occasionally sprinkling in specific examples - perhaps from the World Championship tournament itself.

In addition, I will be working on yet another personal project that will become closely tied to this blog. Wanting to work on a third LoL account, I began thinking of ways to benefit from the level grind. Purchasing a few of the champions that I wanted to work on most (Elise, Syndra, Gnar, Orianna), the levelling process more or less forces me to learn to play them as I don't have the champion pools of my other account(s). Beyond that, I thought that this would be as good of an opportunity as any to explain the game from the ground up. League can be an intimidating game if you are new to it, here's hoping that my future posts on the topic will help to ease newcomers into the process of levelling their accounts up.
