I know it’s all very symbolic and plot important and all that but it’s absolutely wild to me that Aragorn just carries the broken bits of Narsil around with him, not even like wrapped up in a bag in the bottom of his pack like you might sensibly transport an ancient relic if you absolutely had to haul it around the wilderness with you but just. in a scabbard. on his belt. so he can dramatically unsheathe it at significant moments.
