“Nyuh, znk, huh?” Troy looked around groggily. working on waking up. “Takin’ a nap. I’m the God-King. I can do whatever I want, whenever I want.”

“ Forgot ‘where ever’ but I dunno why you’d wanna bunker down here for a nap. Pretty sure that massive bed you got is leagues comfier than that make shift shit I usually sleep on... Well, whenever my brain lets me sleep but not the point. ” She had planned taking a nap herself but that didn’t look like it was going to happen now. 

With a sigh, she removed her hoodie, tied it around her waist before crossing her arms at the God-King in her bed. Ugh, that was weird to think about. She blinked a few times before shaking her head a bit. “ So how ‘bout fuckin’ off of my bed so I can at least make it? ”

“O-of course not, hun! Why’d I ever leave such a lovin’ fam?” This was bad, this was bad, this was bad, Sammy frantically thought, brain going into overdrive like a scared animal. She clutched her bag protectively, stomach sinking as he knelt down to be eye level with her despite the still vast height difference between the two. “W-what trip, hun?” She smiled, coming off as more sheepish than innocent in her frightened voice. “I was just cleaning up is all- thinking of gettin a smaller tent, less eridium footprint, y’know?”  She stepped back frighteningly into the tent, failing to realize she’d be cornering herself further.

“Just know I won’t hesitate to put a bullet between yer eyes if ya try anythin wit me.”

One little slip is all it takes; too long pushing themself in this corporate war, fights that drag on and on, grief and rage driving them forward too hard, too fast. They overreach their limit and end up here, wheezing past broken ribs, one arm out of place, bleeding and cracked and chained as an offering to the God King. At least it’s Troy and not Tyreen, the assassin is sure the sister would simply devour them as she does everyone else that comes near enough. Troy might be more inclined to try playing with them or getting information, which would buy them time at the very least.

For now they keep their silence, only looking up at Troy with a barely audible growl. They’re covered with a thick coating of dirt and blood, theirs and the bandit’s both, and their suit shows signs of heavy damage under that. A crack even runs up their visor, making it annoying to see through. The bandits presenting their prize hadn’t gotten out unscathed either though they have the sheer numbers to restrain Zer0. All the assassin can do now is sit and wait for an opportunity to escape.
