Trying out the Hot Topic skirt that popped up on CoF a few weeks ago. It's so rare to find loliable main pieces, so I'm loving this.

Found these loliable satchels at Walmart of all places. They even have little bow decorations on the front and the colors are perfect.
I’ve seen similar bags at Forever 21, but the metal parts are always gold. I wear silver 99% of the time, so these are a rare item to come across. I just had to snatch them and buy both at once. I wish they had them in many other colors too. I probably would’ve maxed out my credit card. lol

Loliable Accessories- Heart bags
Since it is getting to be the season for Valentine’s day there has been quite a few different cute heart bags that have appeared in stores this year. This is a good basic bag, and having this style available locally will make it far easier to get over some Milk bags you may have to buy online from Japan. As is the case with most novelty items, these bags are not huge and are not meant to carry a…

Some cute items currently on Modcloth’s website. Not really loliable (except maybe the blouses), but could easily be accessoried to have a similar feel, and they’re in plus sizes! I want the blue dress so badly!!

Submitted question #941:
Submitted question:
Hello! I bought this dress on clearance at Target today:
Out of curiousity, I tried it on over my petticoat and it seems to fit alright
So, I was wondering if you would consider it loli-able? If so, what would you recommend I wear with it, or (if necessary) what modifications should I make to it? As you can see it’s pretty plain, it has a wide collar and princess seams, buttons in the back, and sort of a calico (???) texture.
(Also, I apologize for the terrible photos… my house is lacking in space, lighting, and mirrors, so. :/ )
Response from Lolita tips:
That’s super cute and very loliable! What a great find! The collar style isn’t really something you see much of in Lolita, the same could be said for the sleeves as well, but I think you can still work with it as is without making any permanent changes. If you did want to make any changes though I would just say to add some elastic to the sleeves if you can to give them a more fitted look. If you wanted to make it a little less plain you could consider getting some bows that you can pin to it. You could do them in plain black or another color if you wanted to try something different and you could maybe move them around into different patterns like you might see on Lolita dresses such as one big bow at the waist or a few small bows down the front. You could also maybe give it a ruffle at the bottom either by sewing one on or wearing a lace or ruffled underskirt that peeks out the bottom. Those things are all pretty small but would help give the dress a more solid Lolita look and from there I would say you have a ton of possibilities for how you can coordinate it.
