Just found out there’s a corner of this fandom that genuinely believes the maesters were orchestrating the stillbirths and childbirth-related deaths of Targaryen women, which is just so fucking stupid and obtuse. Because of course there has to be an external culprit. It can’t possibly have anything to do with young girls who had barely started puberty being forced to bear the children of their brothers. Nothing to do with generations of incest and abuse, or with the brutal realities of absolute power and how far people will go to preserve it. Nothing to do with women being impregnated again as soon as they give birth and ovulate, with no time to recover. Nothing to do with inbreeding, violence, and the countless ways House Targaryen repeatedly self-sabotaged. Some people really are reading these books with their eyes closed.

My favorite personal headcanon about House Stark is that they are all fairly tall. Not Baratheon tall or Clegane tall, but usually the tallest people in the room.

Ned is 184 cm/6'0 ft

Robb is 184 cm/6'0 ft like his dad

Jon is 186 cm/6'1 ft

Sansa is 179 cm/5'10 ft

Arya is 177 cm/5'9 ft which absolutely kills her bc she's almost as tall as Sansa

Bran is 182 cm/6'0 cm

Rickon is 189 cm/6'2 ft, the tallest of them all

Honrable mention to Benjen (180/5'10), Brandon (186/6'1) and Lyanna (177/5'8). Also, Theon is shorter than all the Starks. It absolutely kills him.

As promissed, the first of the two Christmas fics from the prompts you guys gave me is here!!! I tried my best to be adequate and properly fullfill the prompt, but still adding my own special little touch. It is an explicit fic and as dark as I could go without crossing the lines I wasn't willing to, so be warned. I'm still getting used to writing in English, so I ask you all to be kind to me, lol.

Fic based on the following prompt by an annonymous sender:

Have you heard of the pre canon crush theory on Jonsa? Do you think you can make something with that maybe with post resurrection dark Jon snow whispering all his filthy thoughts about her when he knew he shouldn’t have. I don't know your comfort level with writing darker themes but I need more dark Jon in life before he is allowed to love his sweet sister. He may be like - that’s why Cat was always so distant, she saw the madness in him before any of the Starks could sniff out the dragon hidden in snow, honour and pretend. I wasn’t sure how much detail to request since I don’t want you to feel restricted but dark Jon would be great while we’re at it maybe sneak in a big d! Jon to throw off the harem, where he got the magic d! that makes all the women simp. Now he got magic d! that simps for his little red wolf 😆 probably in Jon’s pov, the kinkier the better *insert wolf whistle*

I'll most likely update 'nothing gold can stay' before I write and post the next Xmas fic, but I promisse I'll do my best to do it before my classes start and I get swallowed up by the academic life.
