UNCONVENTIONAL CHALLENGE! i wish they didn't always put them at the beginning of the season. these are always some of the most fun episodes, even though their relevance to actual fashion design can be tenuous at best.
blue team: fade and sean, wow. i am so excited about these two guys! shame they didn't make top team. angela continues to be adorable and (in terms of confidence level, especially) not at all ready for this show.
purple team: THE DISK DRESS THAT BEAUTIFUL FUCKIN SPARKLY BARBIE HELL DISK DRESS HOT DAMN WHY DID IT NOT WIN
silver/green teams were decidedly meh. nothing astounding. didn't agree with the win, but i'm not as confused by it as i was by last week's... and i'm glad that amanda won a round.
red team had some really fascinating looks even though their teamwork didn't go so well, and carrie did NOT deserve to go home (and boy did she know it!), i wanted to see so much more from her, auuuugh. she should have won last week. she could have won the whole thing.

yep, i'm totally going to be posting commentary as i watch this thing. commentary consolidated into one post so that i don't flood anyone's dash.
pre-episode thoughts: carrie sleutskaya (i love her aesthetic, hot damn), kristine, and fäde are whom i'm most excited about so far. whoo, weird new clothes! but most everyone else looks talented too, and many of them seem very sweet. i have high hopes for this season. :D
and the returning designer is... AMANDA! cool. she earned it.
one thing i've noticed this season is the talent in drawing ability the contestants have this season. maybe i just didn't pay enough attention to the sketches in previous seasons. angela draws these squinty little wedge-headed doll-people that i find so endearing.
in other news, i wish that the project runway website were a little less fucking unusable.
carrie should've won, and char's was indeed charming (ehehe) and i would have been happy with a win for her. sandhya, though? i didn't think it was as bad as people were making it out to be, but it wasn't GOOD, and it certainly wasn't the winner, what even. but i get the judges' point-- it's interesting. mitchell should've left, but i didn't really care that much about the elimination this round.
