1, 6, 15, 16, 22, 28, 35, and 41. Also, don't procrastinate lol. It'll just get worse ;)
Thanks MOM :P Okay, let’s do this thing:
1. First musical I saw: Aside from random local productions of children’s plays that had music in them, the first real “Broadway” musical I saw was a national tour of Hairspray.
6. Favorite Off-Broadway show: Hm… It changes from time to time, but I’m going to go with Dogfight. Pasek and Paul’s best work, plus the dream team Mendez/Klena.
15. Oh gosh, there are so many shows I think need reviving. Lately, though, my friend and I have been talking about Aida. Cynthia Erivo as Aida, and I’d put Laura Benanti as Amneris and Steven Pasquale as Radames if not for the obvious problem there xD So… maybe Pippa Soo for Amneris? Or Alison Luff? Or swap in Aaron Tveit or Ramin Karimloo as Radames.
16. What concert would I go to at 54 Below? BROADWAY PRINCESS PARTY!!
22. Which Disney movie should be made into a musical? Mulan, maybe? Because aside from Mushu, it’s the least theme-park-y. Or, if we’re going non-musical, I’ve always thought The Princess Diaries would make a cute musical.
28. Pushing Daisies would make the BEST musical. Also, there are a TON of amazing historical ladies who should have musicals written about them. I may end up dedicating my career to pursuing that, who knows.
35. If I could perform any ensemble number… It would have to be “King of New York” or “Dancing Through Life”. OR, the ballet from An American In Paris. I can’t choose just one… are you sensing a pattern? :D
41. “To love another person is to see the face of God”; the entirety of “For Good”; “You don’t have to be happy at all to be happy you’re alive”; anything Amalia says in She Loves Me… Too many lines to think of right now!!
Thanks for asking :) Friends, come ask me questions about musicals!
