Megan Skiendiel x 7thmember!female reade
masterlist
The arena pulsed with energy.
Thousands of voices echoed through the venue, singing every lyric back to Katseye as colourful lights swept across the crowd. It was the end of the song, and the members spread out across the stage, feeding off the audience's excitement.
You couldn't stop smiling.
The adrenaline, the cheers, the warmth of your members beside you—it all felt surreal. As your part came up, the giant screens suddenly switched to a close-up of you.
You didn't even notice at first.
You were too busy laughing after making eye contact with a fan in the front row, your smile bright and effortless as you sang into your headset mic. The camera captured every little detail: the sparkle of your eyes beneath the stage lights, the way a few strands of hair framed your face, and the confidence that seemed to radiate from you.
Backstage, fans watching the livestream immediately started clipping the moment. Then the camera changed.
She had just glanced at you, but instead of looking away after hitting her mark...
She froze. Her expression softened in a way she'd never be able to explain. Her eyes lingered on you just a second too long.
The corners of her lips lifted into the smallest, most genuine smile, and there was something unmistakably tender in her gaze. Like she'd completely forgotten there were cameras, thousands of fans, and an entire performance happening around her.
She just... looked at you. Mesmerized. You looked like you belonged under every spotlight in the world. The camera operator, sensing the moment, stayed on Megan for another beat.
The audience screamed. Online, the livestream chat exploded.
"MEGAN'S FACE???"
"SHE LOOKS SO IN LOVE."
"Someone check on Megan because she forgot she was performing."
"THE WAY SHE'S LOOKING AT HER—HELLO???"
You finally noticed. Your eyes met hers across the stage. Megan blinked as if she'd been caught and a blush dusted her cheeks despite the cool arena air.
You couldn't help it. You smiled at her. Not the practiced idol smile you'd perfected over countless performances.
Just for her. Megan's composure almost disappeared.
She laughed quietly to herself, shaking her head before looking down for a split second, trying—and failing—to hide how flustered she'd become. You gave her the tiniest wink and her heart nearly stopped.
Every time your paths crossed during choreography for your other songs, Megan found herself stealing another glance. And every single time, you caught her.
By the final pose, the two of you stood side by side, breathing heavily as the crowd roared.
As the confetti began to fall, you leaned just enough for only Megan to hear.
Her eyes widened. "I was not."
"On me?" you teased. Megan covered her face for a second, laughing in complete defeat.
She looked at you with that same expression the cameras had caught earlier—soft, completely unguarded.
"I just..." she admitted quietly. "You looked so beautiful."
For a moment, the deafening crowd seemed to disappear. Your cheeks warmed.
"You always know how to make me blush."
You reached over, subtly intertwining your pinky with hers where the audience couldn't easily see. Megan smirked instantly.
Neither of you noticed another camera catching the tiny gesture before it cut away.
The internet, however, definitely would.
