Noah Wyle and London Garcia (Emma Isaacs) on the set of The Pitt
Let me tell you what a gem of a human Noah Wyle is…
I had the opportunity to go to a screening of “The Pitt” last week at Warner Bros. (thanks to an invitation by Tom Jenkins) followed by a Q&A with the cast, Noah, and the creators. It was PACKED. Whoa…
Afterward, there was a reception and Noah stayed forever taking pictures with whoever wanted one (most stars don’t do that). It was total mayhem and I didn’t wanna interrupt him so I waited till there were maybe 2 seconds between pictures and I stuck my head through a few people and said “Hey Noah!” and I waved. He stopped what he was doing, walked through the crowd, gave me a big hug, asked me how I was doing, and the next thing totally surprised me. He says, “Were you happy with how everything came out?”
There were so many actors in every episode of “The Pitt” and my scenes were fairly short. However, I was very fortunate that all of my scenes were with him. But still. He’s basically one of the big bosses with a gazillion things to manage. So why would he care what I think? Because he’s just an incredibly decent, considerate human.
Here’s the other thing I never shared with anybody. While we were all getting ready in the make up trailer one day, Noah said he had tickets to go see Green Day, but he couldn’t go. And then he turns to me and asked me if I wanted the tickets. Unfortunately, I couldn’t go. But that’s how he is. He treats everyone the same and with kindness.
Just thought I’d share that. A good news post. No drama. No bad news. Just something good.

Dear Leroy,
I finally got that stupid alligator puzzle all putted together. All them different shades of green can suck it.
Truth is, puzzling is harder with one person. Four corners is a lot to do alone and everything. Turns out we made an okay team.
Now you got a new team and I'm real proud of you. I know it's hard but you can do this, dude. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. Kick ass and taking names and whatever.
I know you're 2nd guessing yourself feeling like you bit off more than you can chew, but you made the right decision going down to Georgia. Your future is so damn bright you'll need ya some shades soon, but only if you stick with it. No more calling, talking about leaving, okay?
Remember, the comeback is always greater than the setback, Don't be staying up all night worrying about the past, the past is the past, ain't a damned thing ya can do about it.
I got nothing better to do so I'm writing you again tomorrow.
Ruth
P.S. Finish strong, Leroy, don't be a little bitch!
Everyone needs a code they can live by.
That's what Shannon said the day she introduced herself to Gibbs, the day she was the first person to call him Gibbs.
Everyone needs a code they can live by. Everyone needs a person to live for, to do better for.
For fourteen year Leroy had his mother.
Next Gibbs had Shannon, the Marine Corp, and eventually Kelly.
And then suddenly he had none of them. Within the year he has Mike Franks, NCIS, and the rest of this team we're getting to know. But before that, before he becomes Gibbs again, Probie, Special Agent, he's just Leroy again.
He's Leroy to Ruth. He's Leroy on a lease, across a kitchen table, in a shoebox's worth of letters. For six months he had someone he told all his secrets to. Everything that comes after, every case solved, every life saved, is thanks to her. He wanted those two months with her, she wanted him to have years after her. Ruth, his big sister, his best friend.
