"I-I-I... ah... I-I'm not trying to pity- I think... everyone has a right to be happy!" Madoka declared, still trying to remain resolute in her beliefs. "S-stop... what do you mean what my kind did!? I didn't do anything- what happened to 'your kind?'"
But Madoka still steeled herself, drawing her bow.
"Don't come any closer. I don't want to fight you, but don't think I won't defend myself! My blood... doesn't belong to anyone except me, sorry!"

Madoka knew that she could suffer horribly every single day for the rest of her life and it wouldn't be equal to even a small measure of Lin's pain.
"I'm not... so stupid I don't know how cruel humans can be. I didn't need to be taught that in school- Kamagasaki is proof of it. But... I still want to believe people can be good if they want to be. Kamagasaki is also proof of that!"
Madoka did dodge her spear; but did not dodge her fangs.
