Sometimes i get a similar thing but like i will remember something or have a flashback and it will alter my sense of smell or taste. Its really weird because its backwards than what you have. And yeah, its p common. Most of my friends have that. Most of whom were abused. I wasnt abused. Just grew up with a very judgmental and conservative mormon family. So idk if its an abuse thing or just happens for some people
