Review: Analog Forever #1. The level of quality of @analogforeverzine is truly astounding, both in terms of production quality, lack of advertising (two or three pages in the whole magazine), choice of artists featured, etc. That said, having read this first issue after I read the third, I also see what's improved in the meantime, and one thing seems to be the writing. In this first issue there's a lot of words, long convoluted sentences that I'm not sure mean much (or at least if they do I don't understand them). It all sounds a bit too sophisticated. The mix of artists featured was a little less my style than in issue #3, but still: Estevan Oriol, Blue Mitchell, Nils Karlson, Fred Lyon, Yelena Zhavoronkova and Anna Fösterling all present stunning work, that's half the issue right there. Again, I read it cover to cover and it was well worth it.
