It was very rare that Phoenix ever let anyone too close to him in his life. The alpha grew up in a situation that left him guarded. That left him cold and in need to prove himself to the people around him. So, it was rare he’d ever let himself feel things too deeply for anyone. However, there were still some exceptions. One of those exceptions being his ex-boyfriend Isaac, albeit a short relationship with the male. The beta was someone who instantly managed to work their way into Phoenix’s heart. And despite their break-up, and no lingering feelings being left there, Phoenix still cared for the boy. So, you could imagine his worry when he was distracted one night from his work thanks for a few intoxicated text messages that the beta was sending him. There wasn’t a moment’s hesitation before the male was up and rushing his way out to his car. He sent a quick ‘don’t you dare move. send me your location.’ text message before plugging his phone into his car’s GPS and racing off. It was minutes after he received the first text that he was arriving at Isaac’s destination, rushing himself from his car and in the male’s direction as soon as he got to where he needed to be.
