“Feeling empty” I’m familiar with. Whatever this thing that is sloshing around inside there....I don’t know what it is, but I don’t like it.

12.04.19- Longing
How do you justify, the tight feeling in your chest, every time you see a seemingly happy couple walk by you? How do you cope, with the empty pit in your stomach when you see a group of friends merrily laughing at the bus stop you walk by, alone with only a notebook to keep you company? How do you continue to smile, when you die a little more on the inside as each lonely day passes by?
You survive, that’s the only way. You move forward, one step at a time, one hour at a time, one day at a time. You, the lonesome person, waiting for the right people to come and love you, to come and greet you, to come and make you smile properly. You, the survivor of the dark thoughts and feelings that have plagued your world for so long, continue to move on through what may seem as a vast desert with no food or water in sight, continue to move forward in hopes of surviving the periods of longing. You may stumble, may have moments where you want to give up. And that’s okay. As long as you get back up, pick up your burdens and fears again, and continue to move forward.
For we are those that survive, against the feeling of longing, until we no longer feel that way.
