1973 - Purple Playhouse Dracula

The Purple Playhouse was a Canadian series which ran for one season in 1973. It produced eight 1-hour episodes on supernatural or gothic themes. The title referenced melodramas of the Victorian era. The Dracula episode ran on March 25, 1973.

The cast included Blair Brown as Mina and Nehemiah Persoff as Van Helsing. Dracula’s death scene is a little hammy, but Actor Norman Welsh earns extra points for being able to speak clearly with those long fangs he wore.

Long Fangs

The Long Fangs are the experienced backbone of the Space Wolves Chapter. Russ's teachings hold that only the most senior of warriors, who have fought for centuries, are to be entrusted with their heavy weapons. This is as opposed to the standard Codex organization, where the Space Marine of a Codex Chapter learns how to use heavy weaponry first. Age invariably brings with it reason for the Vlka Fenryka; the fire in their blood and the ensuing bloody-mindedness cools. It also results in a growth of the Astartes's teeth - giving them their moniker. By dint of their experience, the Long Fangs make up a recruiting pool for senior positions in the Great Companies. The Wolf Priests and Wolf Guard alike select from their numbers.

Hi Everybody! Here we have a family photo of the first squad of Long Fangs! I'm very happy to see these five brothers and I couldn't wait to have the base for the captain. Next step? Putting some sand on the bases and start painting! And also choosing the colours to paint them... I thought of greys and ochre. We will see it!

it's actually kind of supporting the idea that they HAVE been sleeping together to me too

Something about the way Lestat say "come to me" didn't feel like they hadn't done anything sexual with each other yet, but it didn't feel like it was some really established dynamic, whatever it was. And if they're incorporating Long Face so much into the story, that song seems to really suggest they slept together at least a couple times, unless they're treating it metaphorically.

! That’s a really good point about Long Fangs supporting the idea that they’d been hooking up again prior to the book coming out. It’s such a suggestive song, and the way they’ve been leaning on it still in promo even after all this time could definitely be a loaded move.
