Pokopia build advice?

Im working on a bathhouse in Rocky Ridges based on the one in Spirited away, but Im really struggling to figure out how to replicate the like balcony part right in the middle, mostly due to it having such a curve

Any suggestions from my fellow builders out there?

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this comment for some reason, and I think it’s because Zooble is incorrect that the others don’t have any gimmick or special abilities as part of their avatars. I think it’s just much less obvious with the others.

It’s not like they understand every part of their digital bodies. If it’s not obvious they just dismiss it as general cartoon antics. And I think besides Jax and Ragatha we get peeks at this from the very first episode.

Kinger is the most obvious, his eyes and hands are removable! He’s got total control too, able to look around and move his hands. I think in his case he just doesn’t remember what all his Avatar can do, as he only seems able to pull his hands back from far away when Pomni was in real danger vs when trying to help Zooble in the first episode

He’s pretty damn far away with Pomni. Could be connected to him being a programmer but seems pretty specific to his Avatar

Ragatha I wasn’t really sure at first but she’s like literally a doll? We see in this latest episode she’s actually full of fluff. This is a digital world, there’s no real need for that. Beside her being a ragdoll being her “gimmick”

Her gimmick could also be connected to how she always seems to suffer some kind of harm in every episode…

And Pomni? She’s actually the most obvious hints I can point to in episode 2 and 3

She’s stretchy. Made of rubber, flexible and durable. I’ll also note when her arms get stretched out her legs get small, making me think all her limbs are like coils in her body attached to each other, including her eyes. Sure they have cartoon physics but hers seem stretched (heh) to the extreme

Jax is the only one I still have absolutely no clue what it could be. But I think his name and design is meant to be a reference to a jack in the box, or a Jack rabbit. Maybe related to his ability to snap change his face expression like I implied, but maybe related to his clear manipulation of the code. He’s got keys to everyone’s room and now he’s got his tail back… idk, but whatever his gimmick is I think he’s trying to hide it. And whatever his body does when he holds his breath would reveal what that is

#idk maybe Im reaching here but that remasking moment is so... uncanny #the way his face fully changes the shape of his eyes the loss of eyebrows...#I wonder if he can set his avatar to have a specific expression and that's what this is...#he fully goes from looking human to being a flat cartoon again its so unnerving even if it is just him doing that #the amazing digital circus #tadc thoughts #tadc jax #tadc theory #tadc spoilers #oh this might be related to why he doesnt hold his breath around the others #it could reveal whatever his gimmick is to the others

Another thing confirmed to me by this episode is that Ragatha and Jax were absolutely very close at one time

When Ragatha says this

Okay I thought Jax didn't have a tail at the very start of the episode, and thought somehow when Caine put the instructions in his head thats when his tail shows up again. But no, when Zooble falls out of the flower pot you can see he has it

With this I feel like I confirm a long held theory I've had.

Jax is a hacker

He has keys to everyone's rooms. He knows insider knowledge about how Caine is supposed to function. And now hes given himself back the tail he lost at some point. Maybe this is how he got into the circus, maybe he just gained knowledge of the circus running in those circles. But either way, he can do some minor alterations to the code, though I'd guess he has to be careful about Caine catching him.

And to expand on that, I can't help but wonder if with that power he either accidentally or intentionally caused Ribbit and Kaufmo to abstract....

Everyone and their nan is worried about the vote being about who's gonna abstract, but I feel like this is more a cry for help from Caine himself.

I mean, look at the UI:

Caine is at the very top whilst everyone else is in a 2x3 grid format

Everyone else has lower-case names whilst Caine's is in capital letters

Everyone else's icon is black and gold whilst Caine is the only one to have white on it

Caine's icon is the only one to have a sparkle on it

His icon is also the only one that moves and wiggles on the website!

And if we click on Caine's icon...

He's the only one to have a heading with a star on it. The other characters don't have that.

What this means is that Caine's desperately showing his worth to everyone. Desperately craving admiration for the adventures he creates and yet...

He's at the very bottom...

You now can't vote for any of the other characters, only Caine.

My man is iust... gone now... his little icon bounced around after I tried to vote. I had to click through a toooon of these but eventually I was able to vote for Raggath. So we can vote for other characters again now... Though some of his ominous messages makes me wish I didn't vote for my actual favorite...

Been waaaay too long since I post art on Tumblr (or posted art online period) but! I've been working on a specevo themed little 8 page zine for a bit and wanted to share some wips! Its called "Fieldnotes of Amitto Saurus cave". Might even expand this into a full story/book in the style of Spiderwick's field guide, which was the major inspiration.
