The Christmas Trees are Back!
9 Days ago I wrote a post questioning how Long Islanders may be too apathetic. Despite having a record low number of Long Islanders get out and vote on November 3rd, we all went nuts over the Roosevelt Mall “Holiday Display” for not having a Christmas Tree. Well… The trees are back and there are a LOT of them!

Long Islanders are not Completely Apathetic
We lose the Islanders, we don’t come out to vote but we save our Mall Christmas Tree?
Two things really struck a cord with me this week. 1) Long Islanders just don’t vote. 2) Take away our Mall Christmas Tree and we go nuts! Here are two stories I pulled out of the local news this week:

Every weekend for years I’ve watched as we start off with beautiful blue skies… This is around 10am…
Then the high altitude jets appear…
Then the chemtrails start to expand… Around 12pm…
And finally the rest of the day looks like this… 3pm…
This is normal for the current generation of Long Islanders. These are not the skies I grew up with on Long Island.
