Timeline headcanon: Evolutionary regression of the Falmer
@Gabe
It had officially been a week since Charlie had been in Bethlem. He had made his rounds and gotten to know quite a few people to satisfy his inquisitive nature. That did not stop him from tossing and turning at night though, especially with Aaron's warning the first day he got there. It was what was currently weighing on his mind, that they were bunking in the part of the dormitories with a few screamers.
He had had the fortune to not have heard anyone having nightmares for awhile and it only figured it would be just Charlie's luck that when he thought about Aaron's warning, someone from across the hall started screaming, definitely from a nightmare.
Charlie was about to turn over and drag his pillow over his head to block out the noise, but there was something familiar about the voice. And then it clicked. It was Gabriel. He sat up and threw off his covers, vaguely remembering the other man telling him that he sometimes had nightmares at night. Deciding to go and check in on him, Charlie swung his legs off the bed and got up, padding over to his room and turning invisible before opening the door and sliding out, making his way over to Gabe's door and trying the handle to see if it was open.
Moving out.
Nick had planted all of the plants in his room outside, knowing they would survive.He Picked up his back and Rem had grabbed his. "Ready mon ami?" He said turning to the old building giving it a last look, a last goodbye. He hadn't left a letter, whats the point? Roxanne wasn't there anymore. He sighed. "Yeah I suppose I am Dad." Rem said shouldering his pack. They both climbed in Nick's Delorean, Rems bike on the back and Drove. He bought a peice of property near the mansion. It had been undeveloped and there was a forest behind it. Ill be able ta make a house dere no problem... Maybe Start a Carpentry business... He smiled. Maybe get Ororo to move in with me... Ill worry about that later... don wan ta rush things...
They Arrived at the site. Im probably gonna pay for dis... He Sat down cross legged in the grass. His eyes faded shut, then flashed open. The house seems to just flow out of the ground. Nick held the picture in his mind. How the house was going to look. Two floors, Nice architecture, the kind that could only be done with his ability. The walls were smooth. Water gained by roots, and a septic system that practically ran itself. It would be a good home... Have ta get electricity run to it... hmm... He Shrugged. There was a master bedroom, and four smaller bedrooms three bathrooms, one in the master, one on the top one on the bottom. The Living room was dug slightly into the ground, about 5ft. Once if took shape and finished molding. He came back to panting. Rem handed Nick a bottle of water and he drained it. The boy kept the water coming. He even started to just pour it over his head, and it absorbed quickly. "Okay... I don want ta have ta do dat again..." He fell backwards and just laid down with the grass on his back. A Gentle breeze rolled by. "How does it look Rem?" Nick asked looking up to the sky.
"It looks amazing Dad..." Rem Looked upon Nicks creation. He's amazing... The house was beautiful. Rem was glad he gets to live in it.
Nick rose slowly. "Okay... Thats done..." He brushed off his pants and hands. "Dat took a lot outta me..." He started to move towards the house and up the stairs to the porch. He sat down on one of the chairs he had made there. Home sweet home... He smiled thinking about the three of them living in it one day. An I cant wait. HE grinned and passed out in the chair, mouth still contorted in the smile.
[A single flower.]
[That was all that occupied the white space. The stem, greener than the knight that stormed King Arthur's court in search of a challenge, and the colour thrice as bold as Sir Gawain, who answered the strange knight's call.
Unlike the stem, the actual flower seemed almost transparent. The smooth curves were defined only by a thin, black line, carefully telling the story of each individual petal as it weaved its tale around the flower.
The stamen in the centre jutted from the middle of the flower, like miniature rays of sun escaping from a soft white cloud. The hue of its yellow rivaled the pure solidity of lemons and buttercups.
But none of that explained why Lilli liked it so much. It was her namesake flower, Lilium bulbiferum, but that wasn't even the cause.
It was painted by Vash, her Bruder, one of her first and only friends. Dated with her birthday, a small message on the back in his handwriting. It may have been a small gesture to some, a cute little painting of a flower hanging next to a lady's bedside. But to Lilli, it was one of her most prized possessions, and one very dear to her heart. As she drifts off to her fantasy world in her sleep, the last real thing she sees in this world is that single flower.]
Guten nacht, Bruder... sleep well.
