oc ranking: best with children, best at hosting parties, worst party guest

Best with kids: Lenny? idk he’s just an all around nice guy but I see him being especially good with kids? He’s super friendly and patient and doesn’t dumb anything down, and is childish enough to have a real great time doing things like playing king-of-the-castle and tag. Helps that he’s also fairly indestructible. Other candidates: hmmm geeze I think most of my characters either dislike kids or it would be a really horrible idea to leave kids with them x__x

Parties: Again I’m gonna say Yee? I’m sure he was some kind of caterer or fancy chef in at least one of his previous incarnations. Morris would be terrible at hosting parties because he has no income and no sense of responsibility, but he’s great at making an already existing party a better party. If you want some kind of Serious Fancypants Event I bet Ballius is pretty good at that, it might even be part of his Koisha training.

Worst Party Guests: Also, Morris. Greatly gifted at turning parties absolutely insane, basically. Simon. Will be an antisocial little git and criticize everything; only topics of conversation are one-upmanship or cars. Drinks too much wine and has to be driven home. Also, Loki. Don’t invite Loki to your party.

Which of your OCs can cook the best? Which one have neat handwriting and make people rage because they dont have to try to make stuff look well put together on a paper?

Definitely first person to come to mind with the cooking is Mr. Yee. Yee cooks for himself all the time (sometimes quite elaborately; he’s all about indulgence) and it’s so good it’ll actually rejuvenate your chi in a way that’s probably some kind of bullshit dragon magic. Mostly he sticks with chinese stuff (especially soups and similar) but he’ll branch out occasionally to more exciting areas of the united states like cajun style and slow-cooked meats.

Neat handwriting is definitely Ballius. I can’t duplicate it because I am Simply Not That Good but his regular handwriting is that kind of miraculous borderline calligraphic where you’re like HOW?? AND WHY?? I think he probably learned calligraphy while at one of his schools, mostly for his own entertainment and personal satisfaction.

I coloured an old tegaki piece a few days ago and also did an experiment that resulted in Yee's perfect smirking face wow.

As part of a redesign of Yee that has been about a year in fermenting, I now have a small new elaboration on the world of EBAMTAR (Earth But All Magical Things Are Real).

The mysterious, dusty, and reclusive cabal of the Shopkeepers is unknown to all but those belonging to very select groups, namely those that have knowledge of the arcane and the weird that conceals itself from modern humanity. A Shopkeeper may or may not be a magician themselves, but what they sell is invariably used in magic. Strange ingredients, artifacts, devices, recipes, and maps.. what is sold in each little shop is a mixed bag of surprises and uniqueness, and every Shopkeeper has secrets to guard.

These shops are not easily identifiable. Often they pose as dark, cluttered antiques shops, and almost universally they have poorly-written signs. To discourage the patronage of regular people, many Shopkeepers will loom and linger over the customer, until they become unnerved by the scrutiny and leave. Dust is often left to accumulate, to make the wares less attractive. By these signs such a shop can sometimes be identified, but most often what gives it away are the invisible, powerful wards around the door, to guard against any magical being of malicious nature. These special shops are rare and few, and the job is not without perils.

So yeah have some kooky old Shopkeepers. Yee on the right is a chinese dragon, currently in his ???th human incarnation as the seeming owner of a chinese medicine outlet/asian curio store. The other two have been batting around in my head for a while; The fabulous chap in the middle is Callender, a large medium, and the skinny guy with chalk stubs in his collar is Greaves, who knows how to do magic but isn't very good at it, so prefers just to sell it. Callender is from the south and is further away than the other two, who live on different sides of the same city. All of them are amurrrc'ns.
