Learn the fastest way to become proficient on a longarm quilting machine. Whether you are looking to finish your own quilts or want to start a longarm quilting business, our simple recipe for success will have you finishing quilts confidently in no time at all. From preparing your quilt for the frame to choosing thread colour and design, this class will teach you everything you need to know to effortlessly finish your quilts on a longarm.
* An Introduction to Pantograph Quilting
Pantographs are an easy and fun way to get started quilting on a longarm machine. You will learn to choose the perfect printed paper design for your quilt, load it on the frame and line it up to your quilt. Pantographs give you the confidence and comfort of predicting what your design will look like before you even get started. You will become proficient in your very first class. This class will qualify you to rent a longarm machine in the Sparrow Studioz rental program, at any location.
You’ve seen endless lists of classes at big shows but are not sure where to start. Joanne will walk you through several of the most popular quilting techniques and help you decide what direction to take your quilting that best suits you and your quilting style. In this class, Joanne will cover:

Learn the 3 basic feathers quilters use, how to apply them to a straight and curved spine, fill borders, turn corners, add feathers to blocks, triangles and some odd shapes in your quilting. Discover how to turn a sausage shape into an elegant feather so you can reproduce it over and over. Find out the basic practice concept that will polish your feathers in a short period of time.
