i love everything about this
Ahhh, thanks! I’m always spinning stories in my head that I don’t know what to do with, so I end up typing out these info dump posts to take the pressure off. Comics take a lot of time and effort, and I just don’t have the gumption to try writing actual prose.

wow this is really cool you're got nearly everything sorted out holy shit double broken legs sounds awful
The deal with the way the twins weathered the car crash is this: they had to work together to actually drive the thing. This was a big-ass post-war station wagon, so a single 11-year-old kid wouldn’t be able to see over the dash and work the pedals at the same time. Flannery (Driver) was at the wheel, buckled in, but Quinn (not-Driver) was hunched on the floor so they could reach the gas and brake.
When they rolled into the ditch, Flannery was shaken up but held in place while Quinn was tossed around the cabin, their legs taking the most damage because of their awkward position. They were honestly lucky nothing worse happened that night.
