Here you go @purple-compromise as promised!!! Medic liked routine. It gave him a sense of peace that he craved. Every weekday at precisely 6:00 A.M. his alarm went off, and every time he had the urge to throw it against the wall. Medic could hear the chirping of birds outside his window announcing the arrival of the new week. He paid no mind to it as he reached for his glasses and rolled onto his back. A soft snore came from the left side of the bed that brought a smile to his face. The sleeping face of the Specialist came into his field of vision. Since the fall of Mann Co. and their unfortunate unemployment, they had decided to take their relationship to the next level by purchasing an apartment together. They lived in a small town that desperately needed a new doctor. Three weeks and a few hundred dollars later, Medic was able to acquire a forged medical license and get the job as the town’s doctor stationed at the clinic not far from the apartment. The Specialist got a job at the local library stacking books. She loved it and frequently borrowed books just for her to read to him. They had the same routine every week. Medic’s alarm clock would go off and he would rouse her from her slumber with a kiss on the cheek and a slight shake. Specialist would make breakfast as he showered and dressed then they would switch as Medic made coffee (his was better in her opinion) and she prepared for her day. On Mondays Specialist would walk him to the front steps of the clinic, give him a kiss on the cheek and say, “Have a good day Dr. Ludwig.” and be on her way. The nurses would always giggle behind their hands at the sweet display (some were bold enough to outright laugh at him. Let’s just say Medic found new experiments.) On Tuesdays, they would bike to each other’s work. They both had baskets on the front. Medic had his briefcase in his, while Specialist’s was filled to the brim with books. Once they arrived Specialist gave him a kiss and would say, “Have a good day Dr. Ludwig.” Sometimes Specialist would feel cheeky and wear lipstick, just so she could watch him walk in with lipstick on his mouth. Wednesdays were the days where Medic would drive his car to work. This was also the day where he would drop Specialist off at her work. He would drop her off at the front of the library give her a kiss and say, “Have a good day Schatzi.” More often than not he would yell out the window and request more books. Thursdays were Medic’s favorite. It meant that Specialist would drive her car. Medic had a pretty decent car with good gas mileage and wasn’t anything fancy. Specialist’s car, however, was a masterpiece. A beautiful 1969 Chevrolet Impala an engine that roared down the streets. It made Specialist feel like a badass. Despite this, Specialist always gave him a kiss and always said, “Have a good day Dr. Ludwig.” Neither of them worked Fridays, so they used then to get the housework done. Sweeping, mopping, dishes, and laundry were all done that day. If repairs were needed, then they would wait until Friday to do them. This was their routine and they wouldn’t have it any other way.
