Hi! I’ll try to explain as best I can.

It’s a surgical procedure that connects a prosthesis directly to the bone of a residual limb! They implant titanium into the bone itself, and during the healing process, the bone and titanium become unified and connected.

Since I know this is most likely in response to Hiraya’a prosthetic, she also has a type that has a ‘gyroscope’ which helps create a false joint, which can bend while walking. It’s to create a “more natural” look of walking. However; this really only works for if you have 1 amputee, double leg amputees have found that these types of prostheses is very difficult to use because of the loose gyro-joints.
