Two Million Subscribers -- Drabble
“Phil! Phil! Phil! Phil!”
“Dan, go away, I’m trying to sleep!”
“No you lazy bum, it happened! It finally happened!”
Phil cracked an eye open and peered at his boyfriend as he was bouncing on his knees on the bed, disturbing Phil from his peaceful sleep. “What happened?” he slurred, obviously not wanting to be awake.
“Subscribers! You hit two million during the night! You better be happy the postman came at eight and I had to wake up. Now come on! We have to celebrate!” Dan urged, reaching out and grabbing hold of Phil’s hand, pulling at it, trying to force him to sit up.
“Let me wake up first. Like coffee and toast first, then I’ll be excited.” Phil mumbled, but there was a smile on his face anyway. He sat up, grabbing his glasses from the side table, and running his fingers through his fringe. Next thing he knew, there were lips on his, hands cupping his cheeks. Dan pulled away and Phil smiled, “what was that for?”
“For being amazing, and never giving up on youtube. I wouldn’t be on it if it weren’t for you. I wouldn’t be able to call you my best friend if it weren’t for you. Hell, I wouldn’t even get to call you my boyfriend, much less any other guy because you encouraged me to be myself whether or not anyone else liked it. I don’t even know if I would be here if it weren’t for you. You are amazing, and you deserve every single one of those subscribers, plus millions more.”
“Thanks. I love you too. Now, about my coffee and toast…”
Groans, along with giggles, sounded throughout as the two stared at each other, smiling like the idiots that they truly were.
