fran shrugged lightly, gaze focusing on her hands, nervously wringing them together. “ i dunno, i’m just... scared, i guess. “ she glanced back up at maria, brows furrowed a bit. it wasn’t that she didn’t want this baby. no, she wanted to be a real mom alongside maria more than anything. but, the thing was, fran hadn’t taken care of an infant in at least a decade and a half, and it was a baby sister, so she didn’t need to do nearly as much work as her mother had to.
