Ted glanced down at his phone sitting beside him and rose a brow at the name on the caller ID. He almost forgot that Audrey wanted to talk to him last night.

"Hey," he said automatically after picking up the phone.

Ted, I think it's time we talked.

Audrey, I don’t know if I can talk right now. I’m having a really bad night and I just don’t want to be here anymore and I’m so fucking sad and I’ve never felt like this in my entire life. And now I feel like I’m sick and I miss you and I have so many regrets and I want to come home.

No. I didn’t mean anything by it. I’m sorry. I’m actually in a pretty good mood, haha, just a little frustrated. I’m sorry, mom.But I’m okay, I promise!  And everything with certain stuff is fine, just as it was the last time we talked about it. Along with all the stuff with the trees—I mean, it’s actually better now that we have a truffula seed! I told Audrey about it earlier and Jared! Oh, well, you probably didn’t know that, but Jared knows I’m not dead, too. (So casual.)
