Every word of that apology was right from the heart. You could tell just from the way she said it! It was like a weight was being lifted off of her chest. ...Wait, does she even have a chest? Dunno.

But I digress. She’d apologized to Luigi, and it was honestly one of the nicest things she could’ve done. But then Luigi started to get teary-eyed. Oh dear. Maybe that was a little too much at once--

Before her thoughts could spiral, the man in green actually...thanked her, saying how much the apology meant to him. That...it made her feel happy that she could finally make a friend smile.

...Were they friends? She’d never really thought about it. Really, they were mostly just companions. In fact, Luigi was currently asking her to be friends, so obviously they--

--wait what.

Luigi...wanted...to be...her friend? Like...for real? She wouldn’t have to feel guilty for the rude comments anymore--they could be actual friends! Friends trust each other! Friends care for each other! Friends can put the past in the past and start anew--which, quite frankly, sounded like a good idea to the Star Sprite.

“Of course I wanna be friends, Luigi! I promise, no more rude comments or anything that could even be considered the tiniest bit unfriendly. That apology came right from the heart, I meant every word of it! The fact that you’re even offering to be friends...it makes me so happy! So...thank you! From this day forward...I, Starlow, am officially your friend!”

Cue the fanfare as Starlow has also officially joined the unofficial Luigi Protection Squad!
