Some of you may have noticed that this year in the stores, there is an unexpected addition that has not been withdrawn from shelves with the arrival of the cold: Baker boy hats, the new must have in your wardrobe! One of the tendencies for this winter, a comfortable accessory, ideal for the winter season.
Many celebrities bet on them, they're sold in different colours and prints. Here's some different looks featuring these...
Diane Kruger at Chanel Haute Couture show.
How to wear it? If you wear a look with printed garments bet for a monochrome hat. If you opt for a simple look, bet on a printed one! Remember that an accessory can change an outfit completely.
Some celebrities wear them with heels... (Kendall Jenner, Zendaya)
Others with a more casual look... (Candice Swanepoel, Bella Hadid)
Our advice? Try to style your hair before putting it on. Keep in mind that cold or damp air, makes you hair lose its shape or have added frizz (that effect when you hair seems to be electrified), so we recommend to keep it in a low ponytail or a bow.
They're not just on the street, they're also all over the catwalk! Like this one from Miu Miu
Yesterday, three of the most expected catwalks of Paris Fashion Week took place: Givenchy, Balenciaga and Valentino. As you must know from our previous post, Fashion Week has landed in Paris.
Givenchy had her first female designer, Clare Waight Keller and this is the result: "chic simplicity"
Crocs are back! Balenciaga brings crocs to runways with this new version...
Today is a cloudy day, so we chose this look from Hailey Baldwin to keep warm. But of course, accessible to all weather streams! These items and a bun and you are ready for a day look!
The other day one of our squad had an event and she had the whole look except the bag. She went to Oxford Street in London, for those who do not know London, it is the main street for shopping. After hours, looking for the "perfect" bag she found one in Zara and was fascinated with the new collection, so we asked some of our team at Looks We Adore to choose their favourites and here are the results...
This was the one she bought: simple and sophisticated...

For the evening we also adored these:

Milan Fashion Week has finished, now all eyes are on Paris to bring you the latest: Paris Fashion Week! Which is happening as you read this post, the streets of Paris are filled with the #welcomefashionweek hashtag. PFW started the 25th of September and will run until the 3rd of October. In this post we will make a brief summary of some Paris shows…
If you have not tuned in to Milan Fashion Week, do not worry here you have a summary. Anna Wintour has also shared her favourite moments at #MFW:
Dior's show took place last Tuesday 26th of October. Maria Grazia Chiuri, the designer, who has stated many times that we should be all feminists, questioned: “Why have there been no great women artists?” after reading Linda Nochlin’s essay (1971). Each attendee of the show had a copy of it. This considered the collection was inspired by the artist Niki de Saint Phalle.

The same day, Saint Lauren’s show took place under the Eiffel Tower! Following Dior, on each chair there was a card with one of Pierre Berge’s most well-known quote: “Maybe this is crazy love, the love of two madmen.”
Lacoste, in the early morning of the 27th of September, had a nineties sportswear influence.

Maison Margiela after announcing weeks before the cancellation of Mens SS'18 Fashion Show, wowed with this travel theme. Accesories were flagged with airport tags.
And Dries Van Noten's show...
“I want to give women the opportunity to show their inner strength, not their power. That’s the personality of the woman I am drawn to,” Natacha Ramsay-Levi, creative director of Chloe.
Julien Dossena, designer of Paco Rabanne declared that a satin palette and the “coziness effect” were key to the fall collection.
Monochrome! Balmain SS’18 new collection:
And just this morning Loewe’s show, with a nude palette. And as announced on their Instagram large-scale tapestries decorated the show space.

An exclusive peek into the lives of two of the modelling world’s searing stars; we join Mark Mullen – Browne and Andressa Class, the jet-setting power couple for a chat about their background, their experience in the modelling industry and their future plans. For anyone with an interest in modelling and blogging this is the long-read for you! Settle in.
Hi Andressa, Hi Mark, tell us a little bit about your background and how you got to know each other.
A: I’m from Brazil and I’ve been modelling for a while and I met Mark on one of my modelling trips.
M: Yeah, I think we met about four years ago in Istanbul on a gig and we shared a house together there. Then, because we didn’t really speak much at that point, we saw each other in Milan and started to speak more frequently.Anyway as to my background I was born in Manchester and I worked cleaning kitchens, coaching football teams and waiting tables. Basically I never particularly wanted to be a model until, after university I felt trapped and saw it as a way into something new.
A: Yeah for me it was a bit different, I have been modelling my whole adult life and doing something different to me just feels strange. I’ve been all over the world though, so really it feels like I’ve led a number of lives. It’s genuinely been a great experience.
Okay, so what would you say is a normal day in your life?
A: The truth is every day in our lives is different and we have to create our own routine for ourselves, this gives us some structure to our lives because the nature of our work is so unpredictable. We need to make our days feels normal.
M: We like to start the day well, get up drink some juice and eat a good breakfast. Maybe I’ll go to a couple of castings. I always find the time to do some exercise, either running or cycling.
A: Sometimes you will have a normal day, rather chilled out but obviously other days I am running around London meeting different people.
We all know that you have to have things in common as a couple; do you think that sharing your lifestyle with your current partner has helped strengthen your relationship?
M: Of course, you know most couples have to make arrangements with one another and if you break a promise that can cause issues but because we both understand the nature of the others work we don’t really mind when one of us has booked something and then the other has a job to do.
A: I remember one time in Brazil, I was called in the middle of our holiday and I had to go out to a different city in Brazil because the modelling agency said that I had to be there by tomorrow. Obviously he had no problem with that and I left him. We both understand the way the modelling industry works.
As you’ve mentioned before you’ve travelled the world, why did you chose to settle in London?
M: Honestly, I wanted to feel a lot closer to my family. I’ve always felt like London is my home and having not been in England for five years, it’s a lot easier for me both to pursue my ambition to be a personal trainer and Andressa with her nutrition courses, it is our opportunity to branch into other areas of work, as we want to do at this stage in our lives.
A: I would love to live in Milan and I learnt the language because I loved the lifestyle. I never really chose London but of course I thought it would be an opportunity to create a market for myself in London. Of course, to let Mark be near his family is also very important, it’s just nice to have a place to call home.
M: I think another reason we chose London is because we can have our own place and usually we’d just rent an apartment for three months.
A: It’s more of a challenge for me to come here but mark and I agreed that it would e the best thing for now. Our lives change pretty quickly so we might be gone in a few months if I get a good enough offer.
M: We can’t be too close-minded staying in one place our entire lives so obviously we will move. You can never really plan your life out to long-term because in this industry you never know where the next big break is going to come from.
What made you a model and what advice would you give to someone looking to kick-start a career in modelling?
M: I only know this after all these years but the best piece of advice I can give you is to be patient. Also, make sure that you act professionally because you never know who you’ll meet on future shoots and you could gain a bad reputation for being difficult to work with.
A: What made me a model was all the no’s I got off of directors and agents. All the knock backs that I took built a lot of character. I understood how the industry worked through trial and error. The moment you look at it as a professional career is the moment you start to become a model. Don’t be moody; always keep positive or the job will simply drag on and on. Making things as easy as possible for the clients is very important, and remember that you are there to do a job.
We know that you started when you were 16, was it your childhood dream?
A: No, it wasn’t. I had never even considered the prospect of modelling so it was very surprising when I got scouted. There are so many modelling scouts in Brazil though, which is my home country. I was leaving school with my friends one day and a man was outside doing a selection for fashion week and kept trying to give me his business card I took it and ran off and didn’t really think about it. So when I got home from school that day I spoke to my mum again and told her another agent had approached me and she said that’s the 11th one you’ve received so maybe you should give it a try. I saw it as a chance to travel the world which is something I’ve always wanted to do. So I went to Sao Paulo and got three months free rent and a chance to see the modelling industry without investing too much.
M: Yeah it was never really a dream of mine either so I never really thought of doing it. It’d always been there and there had always been offers on the table so when I went to Australia I really started to consider it.
What have been some high points and low points of your career?
M: One of my low points was going to model in China. I enjoyed modelling for PowerAde in Sydney because they paid me so much money. I thought every job was going to be like that forever but I never made that much money again.
A: I loved performing in TV and film stuff because that shows that people trust that you have other abilities as well as modelling. I did a TV show in India and I learnt Hindi for the job. What I enjoy about modelling is you learn skills or get to do things that you wouldn’t even think of doing normally. You get to grow as a person. Nowadays, now that I’m a bit older I like doing shoots that people relate to and like doing shoots that empower women. It’s good to feel like a role model and that you are influencing people’s lives.
We have heard that you are starting a blog together, how much time do you spend on social media per day?
M: Before, I just didn’t really feel like I needed any social media accounts, so normally I barely spend any time on there. I went to Sao Paulo in 2015 and they essentially told me that I absolutely had to get Instagram and so I did and it has helped my modelling career.
A: I’m not crazy about social media a I did think it was a waste of time somewhat but I realise in the modern age that is very important if you want to contact people and get your message out there. I actually really enjoy using Instagram to show me taking off my makeup or just having images or videos of me at home in my natural environment. I don’t want to be seen as this model and that’s all I am. Reminding people that I am human can make them warm to you and it’s a good way to gain followers and boost your profile and reputation as well.
Okay final question, do you have any ideas for the blog's name?
M: Now obviously we are unsure about what it's going to be right now but one name I was toying with the idea of is ‘The Accidental Vegans’ but because I’ve got leather shoes and I don’t really consider myself a vegan, it might seem a bit short-sighted.
A: Yes, I’m very strict with myself about words and which words I use to represent myself.
M: We’ve been looking at names that involve the word ‘holistic’. We want to say something like ‘living holistically in the material world’ or something along those lines. It needs to be quite broad because this blog is going to be about lifestyle rather than just the recipe blogs you see out there. It’s like picking a name for your baby, it's going to be stuck with it for the rest of their lives. I’ve got loads of ideas so trust me we’ll get there in the end!
An exciting development in the IVDB (Ibrahim Van Den Berg) story has arrived. Recently Ibrahim was contacted by T.M Lewin to model for a photo shoot. For those that don’t know, T.M Lewin is one of the most established gentleman’s tailoring companies in Europe, founded in 1898."It has been a privilege to work with them"- IVDB.
Here are some photos from the elusive shoot...
The model/blogger that we interviewed a couple of weeks back (see our previous post) really is in a street near you!
