The ledger is from Sheldon's Store (across the street) and is from 1940. According to the ledger, 5 gallons of white lead paint was just $1.50. My dad said that the post office boxes used to be at the West Rupert post office when he was a kid and that it still has the patina from the smoke from a fire in the 1970s.
