Finished! Installed all the heddles, then the treadle tie-up cords. I figured out that I could prop up one harness at a time, and it would lower the corresponding lamm below, making it easier to thread all the tie-up cords for that harness. Then assembled the high castle. Now contemplating what is going on for the first warp! #schachtbabywolf #8harnessloom #loomassembly #weaversofinstagram
Progress so far: crank handle on back beam is attached; texsolv cords and apron rods are attached to front (cloth) and back (warp) beams. And I have begun putting heddles in harness frames. Got halfway (4 frames done) and stopped for lunch. And I’m saving the nylon cord used to keep groups of heddles together before they go on the frames.
