Looming’s members take the band in a different direction form the bands they’ve previously been involved with and the leap doesn’t disappoint. Jessica Knight’s vocals powerfully shrilling voice is the catching factor of Looming’s debut release, but there’s a lot more going on with back-up vocals that rope you in (“Looming”) and the driving tempos with jubilantly cozy guitars (“Definition of Home”). – Sean Neumann
