LOOP BREAKERS is an Evillious Chronicles ttrpg that follows the series' numerous characters as they try to redeem the members of the Court End.
I originally ran a Loop Breakers campaign set in OSS Act 1. In it, Nyoze Okuto, Mayrana Blossom, Michelle Marlon, and Yukina Freezis ventured into the Magic Kingdom era to save Gammon, Irina, Eve, and Adam (who in this continuity reincarnated as Kyle) respectively.
Needless to say, it was a load of fun! The party of loop breakers battled Apocalypse, worked at the Research Institute, and even joined Gammon's coup. They succeeded in liberating all four members of the Court End. A happy ending.
I later realized that I still had some ideas for an OSS campaign that I hadn't executed in the one I ran. Yegor didn't get any screentime at all, and I wasn't able to feature Ly and Milky either. It got me thinking... what if I made more Loop Breakers campaigns? And what if there was a module for them?
Thus, the Loop Breakers module was born. The PCs of the original campaign, I used as sample character sheets, and hammered out my homebrew tabletop system so that it could also be included. Aside from this, I also added some more worldbuilding and continuity points based on my and my friends' headcanons.
I'm currently on an OSS Act 2 campaign (aka, set during the seventh Project Ma and mostly starring the Clockworkers) but I've also been doing a lot of one-shots. I do think that's the beauty of Loop Breakers - you can try so many different EC characters to play as, and even then there are nigh-infinite combinations of them. Not to mention, interpretations of each EC character vary per person! I've had two different people play Yukina, with one interpretation being more feral due to latent HER and the other being more witty and cunning.
The Loop Breakers module has hit a stopping point - not quite done, but it's something I'm 90% satisfied with. Thus, I'm releasing it into the world. Have fun! I've already gotten word that someone else is running a Loop Breakers campaign based on the module, and that they've gotten into all sorts of hijinks.
Cheers!
