In 1913, the time traveling alien known as the Doctor (Doctor 10) and his companion Martha were chased back through time to Earth 1913 by an alien family. Since the family could detect a Time Lord, the Doctor’s race, the Doctor used a special device to alter his DNA to make him human and forget his true identity. He became a teacher at a school for boys and Martha a servant. The family took over human bodies and continued to search for the Doctor and also managed to create an army of animated scarecrows.
