LORAN DARKBEAST HYPE! This fight officially seals the completion of my solo BL4 run of the chalice dungeons, all fought melee. It is a great accomplishment! Even though I don’t really like the chalices, it was so much fun and so satisfying all the way through.
I honestly believed I would never beat this guy. I had never fought constantly unlocked (I had to learn specifically for this fight), the rolling trick with the i-frames was hard as hell, and the damage taken vs. damage output ratio was just depressing. I believed I couldn’t make it... until I started practicing, and eventually discovered the fantastic AI loop you can see displayed in the video.
If you do what I do in the video, your character will be able to damage the Darkbeast’s right leg basically non-stop. Sometimes Paarl refuses to cooperate, but it’s rare. I am sure this trick has been discovered before, but it was so good to figure it out on my own.
I am really proud and happy to have finally achieved this! @thesoulzofhades I tag you since you asked to see this :D
FRC Loran Darkbeast is the absolute spawn of hell!

I believe that was the order... Watchdog was easy for me, but I’ve fought a lot of those. I need to Git Gud on Paarl type bosses. I know the legs strategy, but it’s still not easy.
As irritable as I was today, I was so hoping a Loran Cleric would go Cape Canaveral Launch Sequence on me, like in one of @whiteone‘s videos! xD
