I got to play Lord Sidhion, my provincial-lord-accidentally-turned-warlock, this past week!! SO NATURALLY... SYMBOLICISH ART HAD TO HAPPEN...
He’s tied both to the kingdom he serves as a lord, and to the fae patron from the wild lands outside it that he serves as a warlock, and trying to remain loyal to both is, perhaps proving to be, a bit of a strain on him,,
I drew our current D&D party!! from left to right:
Lord Sidhion, aka Sid - my character! Accidental fae-pact warlock “blessed” with the “gift” of an honest tongue. (The sword is ceremonial & his arcane focus, he does not actually have any swordfighting skills)
Bellor - @arahith’s character, party rogue, navigator, negotiator, and eternally internally panicking secret werepossum(???) who is unfortunately the party’s voice of reason by process of elimination.
Wister - @setsuntamew’s character, secret aasimar who wants literally nothing to do with her heritage and ran off to make a warlock pact with the faeries instead. Much cooler than Sid.
Seeker Sixpaws, aka Zeke - @dragonofeternal’s character, party bard, eternally good-hearted and optimistic tabaxi who makes friends wherever he goes! Quick-thinking, but that doesn’t mean the ideas he thinks up are... good...
Clancy - @skwinky’s character, party barbarian who looks and acts like a ten-year old but is actually a secret illegal warforged who can’t always control his kill-mode rage.
This party has so much going on I love them all.....
I made this b/c we were talking about "what would you get if you made a mashup OC of all your D&D characters" so I like..... needed to redraw all my D&D characters obviously!!! IT TURNS OUT I HAVE EXACTLY A FULL GRID??
I have no idea what kind of disaster it would make if you fused them all together but, uh, here they are!!!!
Darrik - antisocial werewolf barbarian who just wants to go home. CN
Hasza'rothe - drow diplomat and powerful psion who is trying to appease everyone. NG I think
Nephregol - devoted follower of dragon cult who has made some mistakes and is gonna keep making them. LN
Morrin/Kaze - cheerful reaper of souls accidentally possessed by the person she's supposed to be job shadowing (NG), and flamboyant ghost priest whose god has a few choice words for you, honey~ (TN I think)
Lord Thaydin - provincial lord & mage cursed for his pride, eventual accidental lich who struggles to keep his undead nature under control. LN
Snaketongue - earnest priest & mage whose speech impediment makes his casting unpredictable. LG
24-52 - Soft warforged artificer who accidentally violated his programming, trying to pass as human. LG??
Azarel - 17 year old legal prodigy tiefling who is also a star-pact warlock in his spare time, trying to stay out of trouble. TN???

Really expected more grumps but it turns out the vibe of the majority of my D&D characters is 😅💦
Lord Sid can’t lie (goshdang faeries and their goshdang “gifts”), but he’s generally a pretty forthright guy so this hasn’t caused as much disastrous trouble as you might expect. I feel like he’d miss little things like “ability to give yourself a peptalk without having to carefully construct statements you do actually believe” tho.
I played this character literally once as a guest but then I got attached to him oops
I was visiting friends who also were running a D&D campaign recently, so I was invited to make a character and cameo in a session while I was there! NATURALLY I THOUGHT ABOUT MY CHARACTER WAY TOO MUCH
Lord Sidhion “Sid” Haverson (it’s elvish, and pronounced “see-thee-on,” but some humans have trouble with that so “Lord Sid” is pretty common) is a provincial noble and well-meaning half-elf who just wants to protect his people. The fey he encountered and defended during some recent magical shenanigans were so moved by his sincerity that they keep blessing him with inconvenient magical gifts like “binding warlock pact” and “inability to speak dishonestly.”
He is trying his best.
