What do you think happened to the Angus and Zargothrax of the universe beyond the galactic terror vortex? We know that Hootsman, Ralathor and Proletius are all shared (as they all died in 1992)
I’m really not sure, I’ve been trying to think of some decent reasoning for it and some people in the FB chats have way better ideas. I hope I’m reading what you asked right, so sorry if my dumb brain didn’t.
I think they coincided in different areas of the dimension from where 1992 era Zarg and Angus battled. I also feel that since Zargothrax was believed to be the second to reach the terrorvortex, making Hoots the first based on the establishment of praise for him as a God, he may have hunted both down and gotten rid of them entirely or has them away to be untouched. I could imagine if you kill oneself in another dimension what would happen to you in others. From reading the CD booklet’s descriptions of the song, it seems the only ones to have survived the explosion were Hoots, Zarg and Angus. Someone theorized that, so it may not be true. First Hoots entered, then Zarg, then Angus, at different points of time.
Now that I’ve done some hardcore listening, I’ll see what I can come up with theory wise. I’ve spent most of my days not only enjoying the new songs but putting them together with previous songs. Also, I’m waiting for the band to release the bonus track before I have a final ruling. Wizards as a bonus track on the first album put a lot of Space 1992 into perspective and I know the bonus song will. There’s apparent plans to release it but not for a while. I’ve done my enjoyable listening and lyric learning so I do want to dive into the theories. What do you think? I’m curious!
What is the most satisfying thing that can happen to a protagonist?
They get what they want, in some way. Satisfaction that all their deeds come to a conclusion and they achieve what they worked for. I love a good story, I love the journey and reading about what they do to get there. I enjoy it all the more if they achieve their goals.
My favourite story is The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Roland Deschain is a brilliant character and in his tale, he does achieve his goal, eventually.
I really like The Long Night, in which Sevatar proves that he is indeed justice and vengeance - and a cock-sure, ‘heroic’ rogue.
The Curse of Challion is another of my all time favourites, in which the protagonist ends up killing the demons and getting the girl - albeit in a round about fashion.
