Hi Yulin! I follow you on snapchat and love your plant wall, and figured since I'm a plant person I could try to fix Jenny. To see if you're watering too much, try putting your finger in the soil and see how wet it is. It should be damp but not soaking. Also, you can try misting her leaves with water. Otherwise, it's probably just that Eloise is chewing on her leaves too much. Hopefully this helps some! And I'm totally stealing your idea for a plant wall like that because I'm super jealous.
Thank you! Everything I read online says “damp not soaking”, but I’m never sure what that means. I’m going to try doing less water for now and see how that goes. I have her hanging in a spot where she should be getting decent sunlight from my kitchen backdoor window which has no curtain, and then curtained daylight from the window immediately beside her. I’m also nervous about pruning - I read somewhere if you want to have the plant fill out more, you’re meant to prune it, but I also want it to grow long tendrils? Argh! Plant life!
All my other plants seem fine and happy for now. Jenny the tradescantia is the only one who seems more on the touch and go side. I JUST WANT JENNY TO BE HAPPY.
Thanks again for caring about my plants!
