Support an Indigenous MMIW survivor, help her get to her nephew’s funeral

An indigenous activist and woman leader in the Ottawa community and a very dear friend of mine dearly wants to attend the funeral of her nephew in North Bay tomorrow, Tuesday March 1, 2016, who was found hanged. Tickets are expensive, and we’ve attempted to find her a ridehshare but there was no success. There’s is only one greyhound that leaves Ottawa to Northbay tomorrow, and the greyhound ticket is $111 roundtrip which is beyond her means at this point.

If anyone can donate, I’d be more than happy to send her a collected lumpsum. Anything is appreciated! I don’t feel comfortable giving out her name as that makes her more vulnerable, but if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!
