Solar Power is such a mature album. Like i’m only 14, it’s hard for me to relate to it because it definitely matches a way older audience. Like 20 year olds. It’s about how all the stress and anxiety you had when your a teen, doesn’t matter. It will get better with time. It will all clear up, and you will be happy.
Which is what Lorde is experiencing right now. She has grown up and it has gotten better with time. She’s not the teenager she was during pure heroine or melodrama. and for some reason people can’t comprehend that people will get older. Lorde was not gonna right about depression and anxiety her whole life. She is happy. And she wanted to right about it. Even if you can’t relate to it you still have to acknowledge what it means.
