I’m gonna say it: Aoi is just as much of a bully as Musume is, if not more. At least Musume doesn’t pose an actual, physical danger to the people around her. The big difference here is that Musume is rightly framed as wrong by the narrative, while YanDev seems to expect us to see Aoi as cool and badass

Aoi’s not an underdog who grew strong to protect herself like the delinquents - she’s already an authority figure and just likes throwing her weight around, to the point where she actively seeks out opportunities to threaten and physically harm her peers. For all she’s supposed to “protect” the school, Aoi seems more like the one other students should be protected from. Hell, she’s able to barge into a club, beat down all their members, and walk out without even a slap on the wrist. (There seems to be an overall problem with the student council being immune to the school rules, i.e. being allowed to pepper spray Ayano, but I think Aoi is the worst of the four)

I don’t like her design that much, either. Imo, the dragon design on her eyepatch is tacky, and too much detail in one small part of an otherwise very plain design. I get the dragon imagery, but it’s such a ham-fisted way of adding it; it’s like the designer finished Aoi’s design and was like “oh shit, I forgot to add some sort of super blatant animal imagery like the other council members”, and just decided to slap a whole dragon on her eyepatch.

At the very least, I’m a little interested to see where her whole story with Megami is going, but that’s about it. Overall I think that Aoi needs to be expelled and kept as far away from everyone at Akademi as possible, or at least kicked off the council
