hi um if you haven't been tagged in this post please just ignore it, i wanted to send a message to some friends but it's too long to fit in an ask and we all hate fan mail so basically if you haven't been tagged in this, keep scrolling!
ok i just wanted to say something but as i explained above, it's too long to put in an ask. basically, i really suck at any sorts of human communication. i was lying on my bed this morning looking at this map of the world and i saw how far north carolina and how far sydney were from scotland, and i just thought how amazing it was that by a random chain of events, i managed to find both of you (this is weird, just pretend i'm talking to you, i didn't want to write this out twice but i wanted to convey the same message so i'm just addressing both of you but just pretend i'm only talking to you) and talk to you and find things we have in common, and it's just so amazing. we live on different sides of the planet, and actually forming a connection between two strangers on the internet is such a spectacular thing. i just can't communicate, at all. and i think that throwing something away which has the potential to be really cool (i'm talking about a strong friendship between two strangers who are separated by miles of sea and land) just because i can't communicate is really bad. so i think what i am trying to say is, i think that you are both great and amazing, i see things that remind me of you a lot, like if i see figure skating or a recipe for a nice pasta dish i think of meera and if i see lee pace or fucking honey i think of sarah. i'd really love to actually try and make a proper friendship work, so i think i'm just going to try communicating more but i'm not too sure how (like i wish we all lived in the same country so i could just text you both). meera do you have skype? i just got it and i guess it would be a good way to just talk about whatever. and sarah i know that yours isn't working right now but as soon as it starts to work again i guess we could try using that to talk? idk. haha this is a really embarrassing post, but i just feel like you and me could have a really great friendship and i don't want to get my lack of good communication skills to get in the way of it. most of the time i don't even know what to talk about (like if you've had a bad day please tell me so i can make you happy or if you want to talk about a book your reading i would love to hear about it or if you don't know what to make for lunch or if you're going on holiday and you're really excited i'm giving up with these communication examples i am so dumb oh my god). but i just really hope i can make it work well with both of you bc you're both brilliant. also this message is embarrassing and dumb and if we could just never talk about it again i'd be fucking grateful.
