it all happened so quickly — daphne had been lost in her own thoughts whilst walking and before she knew it, she tripped and essentially tried to use the person closest to her as some sort of structure to keep herself stable. thankfully, she did not fall, but she did feel her ankle twist in quite an uncomfortable manner. “my deepest apologies, my lord.” upon realising that she was still holding onto him, she withdrew her hands from him immediately and her cheeks flushed from embarrassment. “—i believe i have,” she chuckled nervously, “could i trouble you for a moment longer, my lord, and ask you to guide me to a seat?”
