I'm literally gonna explode from excitement when the Lords of the Trident come on. If you guys don't hear from me again after this, that's why. I exploded. Straight up dead. Passed away from being delighted.

I started listening to a band named Lords of the Trident and I swear they're power metal Lord of the Lost.

First of all: their names

Second: they have the same approach to social media, by just constantly putting out stuff like videos, new music and just a lot of posts, reels etc

Third: their lead singer's last name is Christian (aka Chris's first name)

Ohhh now this is a band I haven’t heard of!

Still, they seem to have so much in common with LOTL, I swear, I keep reading your ask and realising there are so many things they share with LOTL

Thursday, January 14: Lords of the Trident, “Shattered Skies”

Although their silly stage names (Fang Von Wrathenstein, Asian Metal) distracted from the proficiency of their music, Lords of the Trident were fully committed to their craft, and Frostburn was every bit as strong a power metal record as anything coming out of Europe.  And on that tip, “Shattered Skies” closed out the album with galloping rhythms, charging guitars and solos, and classically heroic vocals from the aforementioned Von Wrathenstein.  All the usual power metal legends were referenced in some capacity, but this was plenty enjoyable in its own right.  It was actually a bit refreshing, because these guys were clearly playing for the fun of it and weren’t really trying to prove any point.  And perhaps were it not for the ridiculous stage names, “Shattered Skies” might’ve earned greater acclaim.
